Mike Evans lives in the south of England, and as a tango dancer for many years wanted to express his tango experiences through creative art.
His figures are made from white stoneware clay and fired unglazed at 1200°C. "I wanted to convey ordinary people connecting and dancing together. It's not how it looks from the outside that matters most, it's what is communicated within the couple".
The collection shows a range of couples dancing, of same and mixed gender, sharing the embrace and dancing Argentine Tango.
